What is CUINNOVATE?

CUINNOVATE is an online community where Canadian Credit Unions can discuss topical issues and share innovative ideas that benefit the Canadian Credit Union system. Sharing among credit unions is one of the values of the cooperative system so why not leverage the power of the internet to build an online community?

Inside the site, you will find credit union employees blogging about issues they are facing and can provide them feedback through comments. You will also find open forum topics where you and other credit unions can “get together” and discuss issues in an open format.

There is also a resource section with handy links to innovation and social media sites of interest.

How does it work?

Membership is open and participation is voluntary.

You can simply browse the site for ideas and to keep tabs on what others in the system are doing and take advantage of value added content. You can sign up and participate in blogs and forums and join the community of credit unions sharing and building on each other’s ideas. Or you can even join as a contributor and write your own articles in our blog section.

It’s up to you what level of participation you are comfortable with. All we ask is that you are respectful of others and you follow our terms of use.

I’ve never used a blog or forum before – how does it work?

No problem, we have introductory videos and articles on social media (web 2.0) in our resource section. We suggest you start there and find out what all the fuss is about!

Get involved!

CUINNOVATE was founded by Robert Leaker, Ed Brett and Shawna Miller. We are looking for other Credit Union employees to join our founding team – please contact us via the contact section if you are interested in blogging on the site.
